Shell, which has been operating in our country since 1923, celebrates the centennial history of its activities in the country along with the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. With its activities in Turkey, Shell today 1,150 stationsmaintains its strong position with its mineral oil and grease production facility, which exports to 68 countries, and its extensive activities in hydrocarbon exploration, electricity, natural gas, aviation, maritime and chemistry.
It also supports social and environmental development and progress with its investments in road safety, innovation, environment, barrier-free living and gender equality.
Shell stations will get their energy from the sun
Shell, which continues its global activities with the aim of becoming an energy company with net zero emissions by 2050, will strengthen its sectoral position with works that will carry Turkey forward in this field in the new century. In this context, sharing their global visions Virtue;

It continues its investments in the field of solar energy in Turkey; Having installed a 950 kW rooftop solar energy system in the Mineral Oil Facility in Derince, Shell also supplies its electricity from the sun at 38 stations today. By the end of 2023, it is aimed to increase the number of Shell stations, which receive their energy from the sun, to 200.
TOGG Trugo and Shell & Turcas join forces
Working to provide reliable and sustainable solutions to the charging needs of electric vehicles in line with its net zero vision, Shell has started a strategic cooperation with Trugo company, which offers electric vehicle charging solutions of TOGG.
Expressing that this cooperation is important for Turkey’s economic and environmental development, Virtue; “As Shell & Turcas, we have signed a strategic cooperation with Trugo company, which provides charging solutions for Turkey’s electric car TOGG, in order to provide an uninterrupted experience to electric vehicle users.
Within the scope of our cooperation, as TOGG Trugo and Shell & Turcas, we will work together to serve all electric vehicle users with chargers over 180 kWh in 81 provinces. We will install more than 600 high-speed chargers in 400 locations.
We will use 100 percent renewable energy source in the devices. Thanks to the high-speed charging network that will be accessible to all electric vehicle owners in Turkey, the range concerns of the users will also be eliminated.” said.

Signing a retail revolution in the fuel industry
Shell, the world’s largest retail brand operating under a single roof, tries to add joy to the journeys of more than 1 million guests who visit its 1,150 stations in Turkey every day.
With more than 800 Shell Select markets, it takes fuel stations beyond being a necessary point for journeys.
Shell’s patented brand deli2go, which was implemented as a first in the sector, is also an important part of this transformation. Offering local, healthy and quality products, Shell sold 11 million coffees and 5 million sandwiches in 2022.
Ahmet Erdem: We are making social investments

For 100 years, we have been investing in road safety, gender equality, barrier-free living and innovation for all segments of society, especially children, youth and individuals with special needs. In this context, we set out 5 years ago with the promise of creating employment for 5000 women across the country by 2023, with the ‘Women Energy in Shell’, a first in the sector.
Before completing the 5th year, we created employment for more than 6800 women and started a great transformation for our industry and our country. As an institution that has covered one billion kilometers under very difficult and different road conditions in more than 70 countries, we have dedicated this experience to the road safety of our country. We continue to work for the road safety of everyone, especially our children.
We are now taking our ‘No Small Mistakes in Traffic’ initiative forward with the support we offer to TEGV Traffic Firefly. We established Barrier-Free Service Areas in 2017, which is another first in the sector. Thus, while adding confidence and joy to the journeys of individuals with special needs, we support the increase of social awareness. Our long-standing strong cooperation with TOFD continues.
While we continue to bring Shell Eco-Marathon, the world’s longest-running student innovation competition, to the youth of our country, this year we will accelerate our program, which we started with the Science Virus last year, which will enable our young people to gain the competencies of the new century.
