Togg begins pre-production trials!
In the last post made by Togg, many important data were shared, from the start of the construction ceremony of the Gemlik facility on July 18, 2020, to the present, that is, the stage reached in 2 years, and from the amount of concrete and iron used here to the workforce. In addition, Togg said it will begin trial production before mass production.
It was shared that 44 thousand concrete columns were used in the ground reinforcement works and excavation work was carried out in an area of 536 thousand cubic meters. In addition, it was stated that 34 thousand tons of iron was used while 493 thousand cubic meters of structural filling was made.
Togg has taken the highway speed test! Almost beamed
Togg was spotted during a highway speed test. In the video, it was noted that the vehicle reached speeds of 200+ km / h.
In the whole process, a total of 325 thousand cubic meters of concrete and 33 thousand tons of steel were used. It was stated that 9,700 people who took part in the construction works provided a workforce of more than 3 million hours. With this process, 250 robots were commissioned for the production line.
In addition, the paint shop, which is said to be the cleanest in Europe, has been completed, including equipment installation. In addition, it was said that the track where the cars produced with a length of 1.6 kilometers will be tested is ready for operation.
When we look at the entire facility, it is stated that a total area of 1.2 million square meters is ready, 230 thousand square meters of which is closed (excluding the battery production facility of Siro, which was established jointly with Farasis). Togg aims to employ 4,300 people and produce 1 million cars by the end of 2030.
We already know that partial production rehearsals are carried out at different stations. Mass production trials with robots will begin in the coming days. Of course, although it is ahead of the plan, technical proficiency tests in European norms must be completed. At the end of this process, it will go on sale in the first quarter of 2023 (like March).
