This latest round follows a $10.5 million 2021 seed round, which came at a time when VC funding is declining. “Shrapnel” is similar to the wildly popular and mega-successful Call of Duty series. It is also a first-person shooter game created by the developers using Unreal Engine 5. The cryptocurrency game is expected to be offered first to paid users in December, and then turn into a free-to-play game open to general use in 2024.
