This is what the Federal Scholz Cabinet could look like

The coalition negotiations go into the final. The traffic lights want to present their coalition agreement this week, maybe even on Tuesday, they say. The traffic light negotiators therefore broke their principle of not negotiating outside of core working hours.

At the weekend, too, the future coalitionists fought in the SPD party headquarters over projects, their financing – and the allocation of departments. Lists with names for cabinet positions circulated in political Berlin, but these were denied by the parties.

In fact, some ministerial posts are de facto already taken, with others the appointment is almost clear, while others are still open. The Handelsblatt introduces the people who could steer the future of the country.

There are three men in the SPD: Federal Chancellor, of course Olaf Scholz. The important post of head of the Chancellery has also been practically taken: Scholz’s closest confidante Wolfgang Schmidt will take on this coordination role.
