Berlin Fires in Russia – burning oil and ammunition depots, chemical plants and research institutes. The causes of the fire have not been clearly clarified. However, it is likely that acts of sabotage and other methods of asymmetric warfare will become more important in the resistance of Ukrainians and their allies.

Since the end of February, railway workers in Belarus have repeatedly sabotaged the local rail network in order to slow down Russian wartime logistics. Belarusian opposition partisans have destroyed signaling equipment, train traffic control cabinets and similar objects on Russian territory. And since the beginning of the Russian war, the Ukrainian population has been ammunition with Molotov cocktails.

What influence have partisan actions historically had on the outcome of wars? Under what conditions are they successful? And is it likely that they will soon become the central element of the resistance struggle of the Ukrainians against the Russians?
