Frankfurt The uncertainty on the German real estate market is currently high: for the first time in years, house and apartment prices are falling in some places, and experts are warning that the boom that has been going on for more than ten years is over. But the construction financing broker Baufi24 does not expect a crisis with sharply falling prices, as the future sales director Benjamin Papo tells the Handelsblatt. “We are a long way from a major price correction,” emphasizes the manager.
The new environment also offers opportunities, adds Baufi24 CEO Tomas Peeters: “Buyers can negotiate and no longer have to beg to get a viewing appointment,” he says. “Especially in the metropolitan areas, the opportunities to find a property are increasing.”
