The expansion of solar systems is booming – from January to April, twice as many photovoltaic systems (PV systems) were put into operation in private homes alone as in the previous year, reports the German Solar Industry Association (BSW). However, the energy transition could progress faster and much more green electricity could be produced on the roofs if many planners and craftsmen were not busy for months due to the high demand.
The California-based start-up Aurora Solar, which is currently expanding to Germany, wants to speed up the planning process for solar systems. Founded in 2013 by Christopher Hopper and Samuel Adeyemo, the company has developed a digital platform for the planning and design of solar systems.
