Frankfurt The year 2022, with its slumps on the stock and bond markets, also hit asset managers with funds badly. This is the result of a new evaluation by the consulting company Fonds-Consult. After that, providers suffered high losses over the year up to the end of September, even in the conservative – i.e. particularly cautious – investment category.

Hypo-Vereinsbank (HVB) was able to hold its own best in this category over the year with a minus of 7.7 percent, while Deka performed worst with a loss of 13.8 percent. After all, even Deka was slightly better than the benchmark that Fonds-Consult made up of 75 percent from euro government bonds and 25 percent from world stocks in the MSCI World – which posted a minus of 14.1 percent.
