The grant will be distributed to 14 recipients. It was stated that some of them were distributed and some of them will be distributed in the coming period.
With the grant program, it is aimed to develop applications on UniSwap and reach a larger area of influence.
The grant will be awarded to teams operating in three areas: protocol, community and governance.
In the statement, a special title was opened for Uniswap Diamond. This project will receive the largest share of the grant.
For Uniswap Diamond, it was said:
“Diamond is one of the most ambitious initiatives funded by Uniswap Grants.
This work will benefit all ecosystem stakeholders.
Building on Uniswap, it will include an API and SDK for historical and real-time on-chain data that will change the game for developers, analysts and end users.
Diamond will also include a professional interface designed accordingly to increase Uniswap’s market share within centralized exchanges.”
Speaking to The Block about the grant program, the foundation’s managing director, Devin Walsh, said:
“As all grants are open source, the Uniswap Foundation and everyone else in the community can track their progress over time.
The Uniswap Foundation also plans regular calls with some grantees to check on their progress and offer assistance as they build, and there is a Slack channel for grantees to support each other.”
Uniswap is trading at $5.83, up 9% today.
