Technology giant Apple continues to appeal to a large audience with the products it produces. Undoubtedly, its employees are behind the success of production. However, the company has been at odds with its workers on many issues recently. Apple employees continue to carry the flag of rebellion.
Apple employees go on strike in Australia
In the last year, economic fluctuations continue to show their effects all over the world. These fluctuations negatively affect large companies. As such, giant names either shrink or aggravate working conditions. All kinds of invoices are issued to the employees.
Apple, one of them, has faced its employees many times in recent months. While the company downsized in some departments, it aggravated the working conditions in many regions. This triggered many strikes. Finally, Apple employees in Australia are going on strike under the name of the RAFFWU union to which they belong.
The RAFFWU has called all its members to strike due to the lack of progress in wage negotiations. In this context, the union plans a one-hour strike on October 18. Apple employees want the company’s wage increases to be indexed to inflation. The strike, on the other hand, will be the first Apple strike in Australia.
Apple has faced multiple strikes and walkouts in recent months. Employees of the company have been unionizing rapidly in recent years. It is said that Apple ordered its employees to work longer and more intensely, and the strike environment was triggered because of this.
