Dusseldorf By 2030, so many employees from the baby boom cohorts will be retiring that around three million full-time employees will be missing.
There is also a huge need for over a million IT professionals. Hundreds of thousands of teachers, doctors, nurses and engineers will also be wanted in 2030.
In contrast, 1.6 million people are losing their jobs because they can no longer find employment in their previous industries as a result of digitization or advancing climate change.
That is the result of the “Future of Job” report by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). For the Handelsblatt, the strategy consultancy together with the salary data exchange Salary.de identified 35 job profiles in a detailed analysis that will be particularly in demand in 2030 and promise high pay.
