Berlin The career network LinkedIn is sometimes able to amaze even its co-founders. This is what happened to Allen Blue recently when he took a closer look at a current study of his platform.
A good 70 percent of all members of Generation Z, it said, wished they had time in the office. “I was very surprised,” says LinkedIn’s vice president of product management. “I had assumed young people would be very interested in working remotely.”
Understanding Generation Z is important to Blue: 18- to 25-year-olds already use LinkedIn to look for a job more often than the 55-year-old manager’s age group, Generation X.
By 2030, he and his colleagues estimate that “GenZ” will make up a good third of the world’s workforce. Enormous potential for the platform – and reason to take a close look at Generation Z in a study. LinkedIn had 1000 young professionals surveyed in May 2022.
