According to an analysis by the US bank JP Morgan, the largest stablecoins have now reached a total volume of 170 billion dollars. At the beginning of 2021 it was only 30 billion. It is said that the pace slowed down somewhat in the second half of the year. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies, which in turn replicate large classic currencies, especially the dollar, as precisely as possible.

They represent around eight percent of the crypto market. They promise a connection between the crypto world and the traditional financial system. The difficult question is how exactly the synchronization between the dollar and the electronic image is organized.

The largest stablecoins are called Tether, USD Coin and Binance USD. These coins are issued centrally and deposited with original dollars, so they do not create any additional liquidity. Tether has recently lost a lot of market share compared to the other two.
