“The Voice of Germany” – rock tube makes jury tremble – TV

The eighth blind auditions at “The Voice of Germany” – and again the talents gave everything. However, that wasn’t always enough on Sunday evening …

For the hobby rappers Chris Kürwitz (28) and Damian Skowronek (31), who call their combo “Multifaceted”, there was not a single buzzer for their version of “Roller” by Apache207 (24). They had offered to expand their repertoire: “We would even be ready to make hits.”

For Maximilian Hofmann (28) from Weigendorf in Lower Bavaria, that would be out of the question, because he is a true rock fan. In his small home village (250 inhabitants) there is a regular “Open-Air Weigendorf” music festival. Max took off there with his first bands: “We have already had some success.”

For his “The Voice” performance, Max chose a mega hit from 2000: “Last Resort” by Papa Roach.

That was entirely to the taste of the jury – after Max had literally rocked his heart out, the highest award a “The Voice” talent could wish for followed: a four-part buzzer. The electronics technician cheered: “F ***, that’s nice!” Juror Johannes Oerding (39) also really turned it up: “That was just like six espressos, intravenously. You had the right energy. I was there! “

But he wasn’t the only rock fan – Nico Santos (28) also tried to score points with Max: “My mother was in a rock punk band. I grew up with it! ”But Oerding was not ready to leave the field to his jury opponent.

He boasted, “Max, I’m also an absolute heavy metal guy. I can also do every song, every metal song. ”Mark Forster (38) immediately asked him to have a taste with the electric guitar – and Johannes Oerding suddenly became very meek:“ Shit, what was I thinking? ”

The solo, which he then brought on stage with the electric guitar, made the entire studio cheer. Nico Santos shook his head in despair, Sarah Connor (41) slowly resigned: “This will of course be difficult for us.”

But Nico was still not ready to give up. He asked Max to take a seat on his jury chair, grabbed the microphone and sang “Are you gonna be my girl” by Jet.

He even changed the text especially for his favorite protégé: “Are you gonna come to my team?” Even after this performance, the studio shook with applause – and Sarah Connor surrendered: “That was pretty cool. I think I’m out anyway. “

For rock fan Max, however, the agony of choice began now – he remarked in a broad Bavarian dialect: “It was really awesome. You’re making it bloody difficult for me, man. What am I actually doing now? “

In the end, however, he joined Team Johannes Oerding – who was the first to buzz the buzzers. The songwriter jumped jubilantly from his jury chair and promised: “We’ll do something nice. Wacken! “

With this “The Voice” success, Maximilian Hofmann is sure to be the next appearance at the “Open-Air Weigendorf”.
