Overall, the Shiba Inu community seems excited that the Shibarium launch is imminent, but there have been some disappointments after a very exaggerated “custom countdown.”

Shibarium, a layer 2 solution on the blockchain, is a way to increase the scalability of a blockchain network by removing some of the transaction load and associated data storage from the main chain, allowing transactions to happen faster.
First announced in May 2021, Shibarium is expected to finally go live in early 2023.
The Shiba Inu community has been awash with Shibarium-related rumors for a while. Recently, Kusama apologized to the community after a mysterious Twitter status update caused many SHIB fans to speculate about a potential announcement.
