Frankfurt. The ongoing boom in investment banking is also reflected in the labor market. According to recruitment consultants, even the top addresses of Wall Street banks have to offer attractive services in order to attract sufficient numbers of talent. The remuneration for young bankers has increased enormously, especially in the teams for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) a lot is earned in Germany.
“In the Frankfurt financial market in 2021 we will clearly see the top salaries in the M&A area, followed by ECM and DCM,” says Nils C. Wilm, Managing Director at Bankenwelt Executive Search. The abbreviations ECM and DCM stand for the stock and bond issuing business, with IPOs and subsequent placements as well as capital increases being the best year since 2000.
