The International Space Station (ISS) will be out of service in 2031. However, astronauts will continue to live and work in low Earth orbit with the new space station to be established. NASA has already started negotiations with many companies for the new space station. One of these companies was the famous hotel chain Hilton.
Hilton to design the rooms of the space station
NASA has begun working with Hilton to design and develop rooms for the remaining crew on the new space station, which is planned to be named Starlab. Thus, it is planned to offer 5-star comfort in the new space station. The rooms to be designed by the famous hotel chain are eagerly awaited.
An agreement has been reached for the first Turkish astronaut to go into space!
As part of the National Space program, Turkey has made an agreement with Axiom Space for the first Turkish astronaut to go to the International Space Station.
Last year, NASA contracted Voyager Space and its partners for $160 million to build various parts of Starlab. The facility will include a state-of-the-art laboratory system for space-based science experiments, which can house up to four astronauts simultaneously and continue the work of the ISS. And with this new agreement, it is stated that sleeping rooms should also be quite comfortable.
NASA plans to activate the new space station before the ISS is decommissioned nine years from now. Other private companies are also expected to follow NASA’s footsteps. Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin and Virginia-based Northrop Grumman are also planning to set up tourism space stations.
The space agency is expected to work with private companies on future space stations. NASA is expected to save more than $1 billion annually. More space stations may take their place in the sky in the future.
