Moving from this goal, the ministry launched the Fast Charging Stations Grant Program for Electric Vehicles. With the grant program with a total budget of 300 million TL, it is planned to establish fast charging stations at 560 points in 81 provinces.
The Ministry will provide 20 percent support to companies that use domestic products within the grant program. The deadline for the grant program, which started yesterday, is 15 June 2022.
It is among the basic requests for those who will participate in the grant program for electric charging stations to first develop fast charging stations suitable for TOGG infrastructure.
TOGG and Turkey’s electric car projection
The Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of National Technology has also created Turkey’s electric vehicles roadmap within the scope of this grant program.
According to this projection, in the high scenario, electric vehicle sales in Turkey in 2025 are expected to be 180 thousand. In this sense, the projection of this projection is that the stock of electric vehicles will reach 400 thousand by 2025. In the medium scenario, annual electric car sales will be around 120,000 and the stock of electric cars will be around 270 thousand.
