The long-awaited WhatsApp feature has come to Android!

Popular messaging application WhatsApp, which continues to serve under the umbrella of Meta (formerly Facebook), continues its innovations without slowing down. The service, which opened the features it will bring to the platform to a limited number of users in the Beta version in the first place, has opened the expected feature for a while in the same way.

About 7 months ago, we heard for the first time that the message reaction feature would come to WhatsApp. The platform would be able to respond quickly with emoji reactions to the messages they received, just like the Facebook application. This feature created excitement in many users. And we finally got the opportunity to reach the first concrete details about the feature in question! In the WhatsApp Beta application for Android, the feature has been released for a limited number of users to experience.

WhatsApp brings message reactions feature to Android

A new WhatsApp Beta update has been released for Android users. With this update numbered 2.22.8.3, users had the chance to try the message reactions feature that has been expected for months. The feature, which is currently being tested by a small number of users, introduced 6 reaction emojis.

As can be seen from the image above shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Beta offers 6 reaction options to Android users. Like, heart, laugh, surprise, sad and thank you emojis; When you press and hold your finger on a message, it automatically appears on your screen. For those who don’t know, this feature works the same as the emoji reactions we’ve seen on Facebook and Instagram DM before.

WhatsApp is currently testing this feature around a very small number of users. Therefore, all Beta users, unfortunately, will not be able to benefit from this reaction feature. But now everyone will be able to see the message reactions. So if you have a Beta user friend who gets this feature, you will be able to view the emoji reactions he sent.

If you can’t use the message reactions feature right now, don’t worry! Because WhatsApp will most likely release a new update that will make this feature widely available soon. After the beta tests of the feature are over, it will finally be available to everyone on all operating systems.
