The focus on ultra-luxurious vehicles is paying off.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class with basic equipment and more than 500 hp costs exactly 175,417 euros. This makes the luxury sedan the most expensive model in the carmaker’s product portfolio. The returns on sales of the make for the group are as high as the prices. They are usually over 20 percent. And business is booming.
Mercedes was able to increase sales of its Maybach fleet by 37 percent last year and sold around 21,600 new vehicles. In China alone, the group delivered more than 1,100 Maybach vehicles per month. A new record. This focus on ultra-luxurious vehicles is paying off. The Dax group made a profit of 14.8 billion euros in 2022. The margin is almost 15 percent.
