President of the Presidency of Defense Industry İsmail Demir made statements about the National Combat Aircraft KAAN. Demir gave a definite flight date for KAAN in his statement. According to Demir’s statement, MMU KAAN will make its first flight on 23 December 2023.

The project, which was initiated with an emergency code on the F-35 crisis in Turkey at the end of 2020, was carried out secretly until March 18, 2023. At that time, the MMU TF-X was presented to the public and the press. Showing the first fruits of the project, TAI stated in its statement that we will see it flying very soon.
