The European Union wants to produce Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs together! -SDN

Bayraktar TB2 aircraft, which is the only SİHA (Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) developed by Baykar Technology and has proven itself in 4 different battles in the world, started to attract great attention from the European Union and other Western states after the Russia-Ukraine war that started in February.

Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers and Bayraktar TB2s came to the fore in the British press before the tripartite meeting held by the Defense Ministers of Turkey, Italy and England in the past days. On the other hand, CNN International launched Turkish SİHAs as a symbol of resistance in Ukraine. Now it is said that the EU may come with a new offer.

The success of Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs has attracted European Union countries!

Although it seems like a claim for now, the European Union seems to have rolled up its sleeves for Bayraktar TB2 production. Because many EU countries have already made purchase agreements for these SİHAs.

On the other hand, it is said that large economies such as England and Germany allocate budgets for TB2 purchases. As such, an agreement between Turkey and the EU, which is among the 3 largest UAV manufacturers in the world, seems inevitable. Of course, this is expected to have positive results such as joint production and bilateral technology transfer.

As in the TB2s, we can expect proposals from EU members or different countries for similar projects for AKINCI and KIZILELMA (MIUS) in the future. Because it is said that a similar situation is currently experienced by TAI’s ANKA UAVs.

Of course, the reason for this demand for Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs by the European Union is that while sitting in the leadership seat of its class, it is also at the bottom in terms of production costs. Akıncı, on the other hand, has a higher production cost as it is in a similar category with the USA’s advanced and highly capable SİHA-TİHAs.
