England has taken a new step for the Isle of Wight, located in the English Channel on the South coast and where more than 140,000 people live. Especially here, it was a critical move to help cancer patients who are constantly undergoing chemotherapy.
According to the statement, the British Ministry of Health will now continuously send chemotherapy drugs to the Isle of Wight by UAV. In this way, the ferry and vehicle journey, which takes between 4 and 5 hours, will decrease to 30 minutes. In other words, both fuel, labor and time will be saved.

It is said that a partnership with Apian, a UAV technologies initiative founded by former NHS doctors and Google employees, has been established for this project, which is currently being tested by the National Health Service under the umbrella of the British Ministry of Health.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health can deliver to both the islands and rural and hard-to-reach regions of Anatolia with such projects. However, unlike many countries, we do not sell drugs in hospitals.
However, these UAVs can be used in hospitals not only for drug use, but also in cases where rapid action is required such as blood and organ transplantation. Especially in Istanbul traffic, being able to travel in 10 minutes, which would take hours, will undoubtedly support physicians in saving lives.
