“The Book of Boba Fett”: Crazy episode – THAT’s NEVER happened with “Star Wars” in 45 years – TV

And suddenly someone appears from the depths of space that nobody here expected…

That has NEVER happened with “Star Wars” in 45 years of film and series history.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING THERE?

Millions of fans freaked out at the fifth episode of the current series “The Book of Boba Fett” (Disney+). Not because the main character, the grumpy old bounty hunter Boba (Temuera Morrison), has suddenly become nice.

+++ Warning, spoilers!! +++ If you haven’t watched episode 5 yet and don’t want to know anything before then, please do NOT read on now.

NO! Boba Fett isn’t even in front of the camera lens throughout the entire episode. And hardly a fan was angry. Instead: XXL joy about the return of a still fresh cult figure that nobody expected!

I’m sorry, what?

In this case, instead of Boba’s battered armor, only one shone with his flashing Beskar outfit. THE MANDALORIAN IS BACK!

“Game of Thrones” star Pedro Pascal (46) is suddenly in focus. With two seasons alongside fan-favorite Baby Yoda, Mando has already caused a lot of trouble in the vastness of the Star Wars galaxy. After the mega finale of his own last series episode (and the return of Luke Skywalker), the fans had to do without a third season for the time being, instead Boba Fett got priority. Just to dedicate a whole episode to Pascal now.

Crazy: The bounty hunter (“Star Wars” name: Din Djarin) now flies through space on “public transport” after losing his spaceship. He reluctantly gives up his weapons when he gets in (“They’re part of my religion”), doesn’t get along with his new dark sword yet and has a small gift forged from valuable Beskar steel for Baby Yoda aka Grogu. For this he even sacrifices his valuable spear and lets it melt down.

All completely surprising. The viewers love it and don’t miss the actual protagonist of the series (Boba) a bit. Because to be honest, it hasn’t been that exciting so far.

But what is particularly special about the episode is the title: “The Return of the Mandalorian”: It is packed with small hints and references to the entire “Star Wars” universe.

A Christmas present to the fans in the middle of January.

BILD reveals what to look out for:

The Armorer (Emily Swallow) is back: The Mistress of the Forge has long been a mentor of sorts to the Mandalorian. Now she’s throwing him out of his clan structure.

Problem: He admits to taking his helmet off once. Mandalorians aren’t allowed to do that. Bad luck for Djarin. He’ll have to prove himself again in future episodes to win back the respect of his people.

The only thing missing is that Terminator Arnie gets involved in the star wars...

Spectacular: The destruction of the home world of the two is shown in a flashback. Everything looks – certainly not coincidentally – the same as at the beginning of the first Terminator. Killer androids run banging across the ruined planet. History lesson for Star Wars fans.

He will cause trouble: With Paz Vizsla (Tait Fletcher), Mando gets to know his new rival. The Mandalorian in heavy armor is a descendant of the first Darksaber creator, Tarra Vizsla. Fans already know him from the extended cosmos of stories. Of course this mean guy wants his family member’s gun back. But he doesn’t get it. Here a great hostility for the new Mandalorian season (fall 2022) announces itself.

Another familiar face: Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris) is a totally quirky master mechanic on the planet Tatooine. In her workshop in Mos Eisley is the best present Mando could have wished for. An old N-1 starfighter to replace the Razor Crest (his destroyed ship).

Cool: These mega-nimble ships appeared in Episode 1 of the cinema series in 1999. Now Mando flies the hot sled and uses the test flight over the planet to jet off Anakin Skywalker’s former Podracer route (also from the first cinema episode). Watching it becomes a feeling of “coming home”.

The next hidden fan service: When Mando leaves the atmosphere during the test flight, he immediately gets caught in a “traffic check”. X-wing pilot Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) stops him. The space traffic cop has already appeared as the captain of the New Republic in the second season of the Mandalorian, but again has no luck with the speed offenders.

Mando just races away from him. Will there be a ticket later…?

With the gift of an extra episode, what can fans expect for the remaining two Boba Fett episodes? Hottest Disney Rumor: It’s getting EVEN BIGGER.

Because according to insiders, there should be a reunion with a rejuvenated version of Han Solo on the computer for the finale. Harrison Ford (79) is said to have already filmed scenes for the show, according to “Sun”. That would be the next mega surprise.

But since Luke’s appearance and the fifth episode at the latest, everything seems possible here…
