Fiat Egea became the best-selling brand new car in Turkey
There are almost no cars left under 500 thousand TL in Turkey anymore. Continuing its sales in this range, however, Fiat Egea continues its leadership in new car sales. The model was by far the best-selling car in September. The vehicle takes the lead with 5773 sales.
Fiat Egea, which is in the lead with 13 percent, is followed by Toyota Corolla with 6 percent, and Renault Megane Sedan at the third place with 5.3 percent. Fiat is in fourth place again. The company entered the list from the fourth place by taking a slice of 5 percent with Egea Cross. On the other hand, the biggest debut of September was Kia Stonic with 961 units and Honda City with 900 units.

New car sales saw a growth of 8.7 percent in the same period last year. In September, sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles increased by 62,084 units. Automobile sales increased by 2.9 percent in September to 44,681 units.
Ali Haydar Bozkurt, President of the Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), made some statements regarding September. Bozkurt stated that the new car market seemed to have increased in September due to the base effect, but there was a decline at the end of 9 months. In addition, he added that if there is no miracle, the market will remain below 2021 by the end of this year.
Latest situation in light commercial sales
As always, the embargo of Ford and Fiat stands out in the list of best-selling light commercial models in September and January-September. Ford Tourneo Courier is the leader with a 15 percent share in the list where passenger versions stand out.
Fiat Doblo Combi, which is popular in Turkey, took the second place with 10 percent, while Fiorino Combi entered the list with 9.2 percent. A total of 17,403 light commercial vehicles were sold in September. During 2022, this number increased to 121,306.
