Dusseldorf, Berlin The Berlin public prosecutor’s office is investigating in several proceedings relating to the badly hit real estate group Adler Group. This emerges from the response of the Berlin Senate Department for Finance to a small request from the AfD politician Kristin Brinker, which is available to the Handelsblatt. It states that “in various departments” of the public prosecutor’s office “investigations in connection with the Adler Group are being conducted”.
The public prosecutor’s office did not want to comment on the proceedings when asked by the Handelsblatt. It is therefore unclear exactly what the proceedings are about. According to information from the Handelsblatt, however, the investigations are aimed at several people responsible, including high-ranking managers of the group and its environment.
A spokesman for the Adler Group said that the company “is not aware of any investigations by the Berlin public prosecutor’s office in connection with Adler Group SA”.
