Tesla is defying the Covid-19 and chip crisis!

In the past days, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared on his social media accounts that the company will stop production at certain intervals in its factories in China and the USA due to the chip crisis, supply chain problems and Covid-19. But the emerging reports continue to paint a positive picture.

Tesla broke the record despite the chip crisis, Covid-19 and supply chain problems!

Many predicted that Tesla and Elon Musk’s other company, SpaceX, would experience a major regression in 2022 due to the periodic increase in Covid-19 cases, the chip crisis that prevented companies from producing devices, and the supply chain problems they brought.

However, according to the statement made by Tesla, the opposite is the case. Because the company achieved a growth of 68 percent this year, according to the first quarter data of last year. In total, 310 thousand 48 cars were delivered to their owners.

When we make a mutual comparison with the data of last year, the company produced 184 thousand 300 cars and delivered them to the users in only the first 3 months of 2021. However, this year, despite the chip crisis, Covid-19 and supply chain problems, it managed to pass the 100,000 automobile production threshold per month.

Detailing the total number of production, the company said that 296,324 of 310 thousand 48 cars, that is, almost 95 percent of them, are Model 3 and Model Y. In addition, this year’s Q1 (1st quarter) brought another new beauty to the company. The company inaugurated its new Gigafactory in China.

When we look at the income it has achieved so far, the balance sheet of the last 3 months in its factory in Grenheide, Germany has been 5.5 billion dollars. They aim to have produced 500 thousand vehicles by the end of this year at their facility in China.
