Dusseldorf Nothing in the office has been the same since the beginning of the corona pandemic. Almost overnight, millions of employees were sent to the home office. What used to be the exception is now established in many companies, even after most corona rules have been abolished.
According to surveys, the majority of workers are opposed to a full return to the office. According to a survey by the opinion research institute Civey, almost half of all Germans think that working life has improved as a result of the change to hybrid models.
For the employees, the possibility of working from home means a new kind of flexibility. At the same time, the switch to a hybrid way of working also entails many challenges. People no longer meet in the hallway or in the coffee kitchen, there is no personal exchange. Zoom meetings tire quickly. Employees who are less often in the office than others fear being left behind.
