Telegram said that it will soon offer payment partnerships to its users. The program, which will be carried out for channel owners, will enable managers to earn money from the advertisements displayed on the channels. The service, called Advertising Platform, will make it possible to make money with Telegram.

Details of the program became clear with the statement of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov. Accordingly, channel owners will be able to receive 50 percent of the revenue from advertisements shown to members on the channel. Telegram, the cryptocurrency powering the TON blockchain TON Coin will pay these earnings to channel owners.
TON blockchain was developed as the infrastructure of the Grams stablecoin project with the support of Telegram. However, this initiative was canceled in 2020 due to problems with government institutions. Telegram will benefit from TON’s technology for its new advertising system.

But so far it is possible to monetize only 10 percent of channel views. The Advertising Platform will turn the free content in the application into an income opportunity.
With the announcement, the price of TON Coin increased by approximately 40 percent. It also puts Telegram among rival platforms like YouTube and X.
