South Korea’s National Tax Agency has launched an investigation into Bithumb, one of the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges.
According to local news sources, officials in South Korea today announced that Bithumb Head office in Seoul raided.
Regarding the National Tax Service, Bithumb Korea and Bithumb Holdings “a special tax investigation” and investigates whether the exchange complies with tax law.
Officers, Bithumb Korea, Bithumb Holdings and other affiliated entities domestic and international transactions examining any whether there is tax evasion trying to find.
The National Tax Administration has conducted an investigation into Bithumb in the past. After this investigation in 2018, the Tax Office $64 million worth of income tax had received.
