Huawei is expanding its processor family as a result of the embargoes imposed by the USA. The company, which made a big impact with the Mate 60 powered by Kirin 9000S, has now developed a desktop computer processor. From Kirin 9000C nourished Huawei Qingyun W515x And W585x computer was introduced.

Kirin 9000C developed by Huawei and SMIC; An 8-core, 12-thread processor offering clock speeds of up to 2.48GHz. Huawei, which has had difficulty in supplying products from Intel and Qualcomm lately, wants to expand in the desktop computer world with this processor.

The company’s MateBook laptops feature AMD Ryzen and Intel processors. The Qingyun W515x model, introduced in China, is powered by Kirin 9000C. This shows that the company is focusing more on local solutions.

Qingyun has configurations that will appeal to different users. W515x; It comes with storage options ranging from 8GB / 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD to 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD. The more affordable W585x has 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

On the software side, we should point out that Huawei prefers its own Tongxin operating system. The operating system, which is different from HarmonyOS, will come with KOS 2403 and UOS 1070 versions. Its independence from Windows reflects the goal of creating an independent software ecosystem with the Kirin 9000C.
