Survey Showing We Are Not Prepared for Earthquakes at All

A survey conducted in December once again revealed how unprepared we are neither for the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş nor for future earthquakes.

Turkey has faced the reality of the earthquake in a historical way today. On the same day in Kahramanmaraş 7.7 and 7.5 earthquakes took place. There were aftershocks with a magnitude greater than 6.5.

So, how ready was Turkey for this earthquake and how ready is it in the future? The answer to this question is through a survey of citizens given. The questions asked in the survey and the answers given by the citizens were as follows:

NOTE: It is critical to communicate with your relatives via SMS and web-based messaging services after the earthquake.

Do you think that necessary precautions have been taken in our country for a possible major earthquake?

In addition, 13% of the participants think that the biggest problem for our country in the near future is earthquake.

The aforementioned data were obtained through a survey conducted on the “benderimki.com” platform of NG Research. 7-22 December A total of 1,475 people aged 15 and over participated in the survey.
