London According to an insider, the British financial investor CVC Capital Partners can expect a valuation of more than 20 billion euros for its planned IPO. In view of the price development of competitors after their IPOs, a valuation well above this threshold is expected for CVC, a person familiar with the project told the Reuters news agency.

In September, the company was valued at 15 billion euros when the investor Blue Owl Capital took over a stake of around ten percent. CVC has hired the banks Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley to prepare an IPO. With its plan, the financial investor is following in the footsteps of rivals such as Bridgepoint and TPG, which recently made their IPO debuts.

CVC became known as an investor in Formula 1 and joined the marketing company of the Spanish soccer league last year. In Germany, CVC has a stake in the Douglas perfumery chain.
