Thanks to its ability to travel at high speeds, Starship can undertake tasks such as carrying satellites in low orbits around the Earth, carrying passengers for space tourism, and being sent to the Moon and Mars. In addition, the rocket can also be used for interplanetary cargo transport missions.
Starship, which is 120 meters high, has the capacity to carry 100 tons of cargo. This rocket will be a massive, fully reusable rocket called Super Heavy, just like Falcon 9s, and will be powered by 31 Raptor engines.
Saudi astronauts go to space with SpaceX!
SpaceX will take Saudi astronauts to the ISS station. The private flight will be carried out in partnership with Axiom Space and NASA.
It is stated that this new generation rocket engine called Raptor, which will be used by Starship, is designed to provide higher performance and better fuel efficiency. It will also be able to return to Earth as it will be a reusable rocket. In this way, project costs will decrease from billions of dollars to less than one hundred million dollars.
SpaceX has already started the first test flights for Starship. In fact, a prototype of the rocket successfully made a high-altitude test flight in 2021. In 2023, it will begin its first manned flights. In the test to be held in the coming days, it is expected to make a full tour in Earth orbit and make a successful landing.
