Frankfurt Investors need strong nerves at the moment. The consequences of the Ukraine war, the lockdown in China and massive interest rate hikes by global central banks are weighing on the mood. The courses fluctuate accordingly.

This can be observed impressively in the development since last Wednesday, after the US Federal Reserve Bank raised interest rates. At first, the markets reacted euphorically. The leading US index Dow Jones rose almost three percent after the decision. On Thursday it then lost more than three percent and also closed in the red on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. The US technology index Nasdaq falls even more sharply, falling by five percent on Friday alone.
