Shiba Inu team’s Lucie announced the upcoming release of cryptocurrency’s play-to-win collectible card game (CCG), Shiba Eternity.

Interesting Details About Shiba Eternity

The leading marketing expert has revealed some exciting details about the Shibarium version of the game. According to Lucie, Shiba Eternity players can earn the upcoming reward coin TREAT just by playing the game.

Although Shiba Inu raised $12 million by selling TREAT to VCs, Lucie emphasized that the token has not yet been launched.

He stated that players must own the NFT Shiboshi of Shiba Inu to earn rewards in Shiba Eternity. Lucie has previously confirmed that Shiboshi will serve as a prerequisite for performing certain reward-yielding activities in-game. This will then increase user engagement and contribute to the broader Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Along with these, he underlined the role of SHEboshis (SHEB) in the game, stating that the DN404 token will be very important for future breeding. According to Lucie, the act of breeding will create new virtual puppies using the DN404 standard.

Lucie noted that in addition to being used in reproduction, SHEB will also play other roles in Shiba Eternity.

How Can Shiba Eternity Contribute to SHIB Burns?

Lucie also detailed how Shiba Eternity will contribute to the ongoing SHIB burning campaign.

Since Shiba Eternity will be launching on Shibarium soon, Lucie emphasized that every in-game transaction will require Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), the network’s official gas fee identifier.

Therefore, a portion of the transaction fees generated from Shiba Eternity will be used to purchase and burn SHIB.

Ongoing Development and Possible Launch Date

For context, Shiba Inu first introduced the non-blockchain version of the game in October 2022. Developed by top entertainment company PlaySide Studio, this first version allowed players to engage in strategic card battles.

Following the success of the game, the development team is creating a P2E (Play to Win) version to be deployed on Shibarium. The team identified and fixed critical Shiba Eternity bugs in preparation for beta testing, which is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2024.

Once beta testing is complete, the team will distribute the P2E version of Shiba Eternity on the Shibarium mainnet. During the press release, it was stated that no official date has been set for the mainnet launch yet. However, Lucie shared an unconfirmed report in December 2023 stating that the game’s mainnet launch could happen this year.
