The Shiba Inu community, the most popular cryptocurrency of recent times, has launched a campaign for the world technology giant Amazon to accept SHIBA.
The Shiba Inu community wanted Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, to support SHIBA. However, Tesla founder Elon Musk said in a recent tweet that he does not hold the Shiba Inu.
Distorted SHIB community turned to Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, as Musk said in his tweet that he would stick to the popular cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which he has long supported.
The SHIB community started a petition on Change.org for the US-based company to accept Shiba Inu.
For Amazon to accept SHIB, “Ask Amazon to accept Shiba Inu as form of payment.” The three petitions in the form of a petition collected approximately 173,373 signatures in total.
Justin Taylor, one of the petitioners on Change.org, asked Amazon to seriously consider accepting the Shiba Inu as a form of payment. Taylor stated that he believes that both Shiba Inu users and Amazon will benefit if their request is accepted.
“Amazon has changed the world many times since its creation. We humbly ask that Amazon do this once again by adopting the Shiba Inu.”
The petition launched by the Robinhood platform for the listing of Shiba Inu is still ongoing and 479,162 signatures have been collected so far.
