The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency can now be accepted by retailers such as GameStop, Nordstrom, Lowe’s, Petco, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ulta Beauty.
According to a recent announcement, Flexa, a cryptocurrency payments company backed by the Winklevoss twins, has finally To Shiba Inu (SHIB) also added support.

This development means holders of the hottest meme coin can now spend it in nearly 40,000 stores across the United States.
Supported vendors include; video game retailer GameStop, luxury retailer Nordstrom, home improvement company Lowe’s, pet retailer Petco, home goods and home furnishings company Bed Bath & Beyond, beauty store chain Ulta Beauty, and many other major retailers.
Last month, Knoxville-based cinema chain Regal Cinemas also partnered with Flexa to accept cryptocurrencies.
Starbucks also took part in the trial of the app, but was quickly pulled from its list of available vendors, despite the viral photo showing the Winklevoss twins paying with the app.

Flexa’s Spedn cryptocurrency wallet, launched in 2019, makes crypto payments extremely easy. The platform initially supported four cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and a stablecoin, Gemini Dollar.
In May, Flexa added Dogecoin, the original dog meme coin, to its current lineup of cryptocurrencies.
“Did you know that you can buy items in these stores using Dogecoin:
– GameStop
– Nordstrom
– Lowe’s
– Petco
And many more stores? This news went unnoticed but very important! :)”

The network automatically converts cryptocurrencies to fiat money so retailers don’t have to deal with the volatility associated with cryptocurrencies. Instant payments are facilitated with the help of Amp, an ERC-20 token that acts as a crowdsourced collateral.
Newegg and AMC
The Shiba Inu has made significant progress over the past month with ever-increasing merchant adoption.
In fact, earlier this week, electronics retailer Newegg announced that it will accept Shiba Inu payments. According to CEO Adam Aron, movie giant AMC also plans to add the Shiba Inu to its platforms in early 2022.
In addition to these, as previously reported by KoinFinans, Shiba Inu is also supported by BitPay, the world’s largest crypto payment provider.
However, despite milestones reached in mainstream adoption, the price of the token is still trading 60.3 percent below its all-time high of $0.000086.
