Seven-day incidence rises slightly to 1734.2 – curfew in Chinese steel metropolis Tangshan

The corona numbers in Germany continue to skyrocket, the incidence is increasing nationwide. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants has now exceeded 3,000 in twelve districts in the past seven days. That’s one more than the day before. The figures are based on information from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

These are the counties with the highest incidences:

  • Rostock: 3473.0
  • Forchheim: 3404.8
  • Hassberge: 3345.0
  • Bamberg: 3255.7
  • Altmarkkreis Salzwedel: 3224.2
  • Passau: 3195.6
  • Nordhausen: 3182.3
  • Eichsfeld: 3179.1
  • Erlangen-Höchstadt: 3117.2
  • Cham: 3104.8
  • Kyffhauser circle: 3049.4

The incidence is now below 500 in only three rural or urban districts. Nordmarkt in der Oberpfalz recorded the lowest value with 154.6. This is followed by the district of Vechta in Lower Saxony (341.7) and Berlin Lichtenberg with 476.4.

Broken down by federal state, the RKI reports the highest 7-day incidence for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (2459.6), Saarland (2262.9) and Thuringia (2199.6). The city-states of Hamburg and Berlin are the only countries with an incidence of less than 1000: the Hanseatic city records a value of 988.1, the capital one of 997.2.
