The head of the Volkswagen North America region has been appointed CEO of Scout.

Wolfsburg Scott Keogh is to set up the newly founded company Scout in the USA and promote electromobility, according to a statement from VW on Tuesday. He was previously regional head of the Volkswagen North America region. Above all, VW wants to enter the market for fully electric pick-ups.
Pablo Di Si, Executive Chairman of Volkswagen South America Region, will lead VW Group of America and serve as CEO of Volkswagen North America Region. Keogh and Di Si will take up their new positions on September 1st.
In the United States, VW CEO Herbert Diess wants to significantly expand market share in the coming years. A higher proportion of vehicles with electric drives should also help here.
