With the arrival of the winter season and the decrease in temperatures throughout Turkey, snowfall began to be effective in many cities. Finally, schools were closed in 7 cities today due to heavy snowfall.

In a statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology a short time ago, it was stated that snowfall will be effective throughout Turkey. Even a yellow alert was issued for 10 cities, and snow preparations were started even in cities where precipitation has not started yet.
According to last-minute statements, schools across the province in Bitlis, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep and Sivas were closed on Monday, February 6 (tomorrow). In Bingöl and Muş, the school was suspended on 6-7 February.
