Freeing oneself from fossil fuels is becoming more urgent: green alternatives such as solar systems are coming into focus. House and apartment owners are increasingly considering converting their properties to photovoltaic systems.
But interest has not only been growing since this year: “We have been seeing a significant increase in interest in solar energy since last year, but even more so since the Ukraine war,” reports Jörg Sutter, photovoltaics consultant at the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) consumer advice center. The Handelsblatt has researched when and how the installation of a solar system is worthwhile and what mistakes consumers should avoid.
