It will cover 25,000 square kilometers, making it 32 times the size of New York City. The government in Riyadh is now looking for investors from all over the world for the billion-euro project.

And so in April Neom CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr traveled through the USA with a large entourage to get investors on Wall Street and in Washington excited about the Saudi Arabian project. Invitations were mainly sent to private equity firms, banks and suppliers.

According to the Saudis, around 700 representatives of US business from the areas of finance, technology and sustainability were addressed at the meeting. “We hope for meaningful partnerships,” Al-Nasr was quoted afterwards.
