Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone industry, showcased its highly anticipated new products at the Galaxy Unpacked event it held yesterday. While presenting the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series to users, the company announced that their smartphones will come out of the box with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. It turned out that a while ago, the version brought different functions to that frequently used feature.

Virtual RAM feature will expand with One UI 4.1
Having decided to further develop the virtual RAM feature, which has become widespread in the industry recently, Samsung took its first official step with the One UI 4.1 version. The company has brought new options to the feature, also known as RAM Plus, that users will be pleased with.
In the One UI 4.0 version, only 4 GB of virtual RAM was offered to users who wanted to take advantage of the RAM Plus feature. However, with the new version that was released yesterday, the virtual RAM option has expanded further and has become an identity that can offer users four different options: 2 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB.
The new feature, which is currently only available in the Galaxy S22 series, can be used easily between compatible devices after the One UI 4.1 version starts to be distributed to other devices.
The feature in question comes into play when the RAM is insufficient by allocating a portion of the phone’s storage and promises a high-level user experience by preventing a potential performance drop. Of course, for the feature to work efficiently, the free space in the storage must also be high.
