Samsung is expected to continue offering 25W fast charging on its mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones. Galaxy A55, which recently received regulatory approval in China, showed that it will support 25W fast charging in the official listing. This means that Samsung will not improve on 25W charging capacity.
Charging adapter will not be included in the Samsung Galaxy A55 box
The smartphone, bearing the model number SM-A5560, was unveiled on China’s 3C certification site. The listing confirmed that the Galaxy A55 will support 9V/2.77A fast charging via USB-C. However, while previous Galaxy A devices had a charger in the box, the Galaxy A55 will only have a USB Type-C cable.
Many companies, especially Apple, have removed the power adapter from the box to reduce e-waste. Samsung also seems to continue this trend with its new budget-friendly model. Accordingly, users will need to purchase the 25W PD charging adapter separately.

There are not many other official details about the features of the Galaxy A55. However, previous rumors showed that it will be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset. The new mobile platform will provide a performance increase with four high-power cores up to 2.75 GHz compared to the Exynos 1380 in previous models.
Although it targets the price/performance point, the mid-level 25W charging speed may bother some users. It should be noted that smartphones of similar levels from Chinese manufacturers have a charging capacity of up to 100W.
The launch date of Galaxy A55 is uncertain. However, previous rumors revealed that it could be unveiled in March next year.
