Samsung CEO apologizes for Galaxy S22

Speaking to shareholders at the meeting held today, Samsung Device Experience Division CEO JH Han apologized and stated that the GOS embedded in devices for security only affects the performance of games. With the update released for Galaxy S22s last week, it is possible for users to choose performance as a priority. However, this update has not reached all users yet.

Han also denied the allegations that the GOS problem was caused by the company’s cost-cutting efforts, and said Samsung did not sacrifice quality to cut costs. Claims made to Samsung in this regard were that GOS was used because there was not enough heat dissipation in the S22 series.

South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission has launched an investigation due to this incident in the Galaxy S22 series.
