Samson Mow Announces: Here Are the Next Countries That Can Accept Bitcoin

Former Blockstream executive and longtime Bitcoin (BTC) advocate Samson Mow thinks several countries will adopt the leading crypto asset by market capitalization in the coming years.

Mow, who is now the CEO of Bitcoin tech company JAN3, gave the name of a country he thinks may soon accept BTC, in an interview with Kitco News.

“It looks like Panama is coming. They’re just waiting for the president’s signature to sign a law. This was quite unexpected, even the Central African Republic was unexpected. It suddenly appeared. I think it’s definitely possible that we’ll see another country emerge this year.

Actually, I also work in many countries, there are Bitcoiners in different places. There are two ways here. One is trying to enforce Bitcoin, the other is natural adoption where they figure it out on their own and say, ‘Okay, we’ll use Bitcoin’. Our prospects look good this year.”

The crypto law Mow mentioned, which has been approved by the Panamanian National Assembly, allows the use of cryptocurrencies in individual and business transactions. Mow also reported that he is working with big names in the country to promote Bitcoin adoption in Mexico.

“I work with some people in Mexico. Indira Kempis, she is a Mexican senator. Also, Ricardo Salinas is the Mexican Avengers team trying to adopt Bitcoin in Mexico. There are a few more, I don’t want to name names yet, but there are more in the game.”

Mow and Blockstream were the chief architects of El Salvador’s Bitcoin bonds, which the Central American country plans to use to fund a new “Bitcoin City.”
