Ripple CEO Evaluates 2021! What Happened After the Case?

While the legal battle between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple left behind a year, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that Ripple (XRP) recorded significant growth in 2021.

Stating that it is the first anniversary of the lawsuit in his post on his Twitter account, Garlinghouse evaluated the year 2021 with the news of the lawsuit for XRP.

The famous CEO reiterated his thoughts in his previous statements, saying that despite the lawsuit with the SEC, 2021 was the best year for XRP.

“A year ago the SEC; Ripple filed a lawsuit against Chris Larsen and me, claiming that XRP, a publicly traded cryptocurrency that has been traded on the open market since 2013, should be registered as a security.” He shared his thoughts in a tweet series.

Garlinghouse argued that the lawsuit filed by the SEC is an attack not only against Ripple but also against the cryptocurrency market in the United States.

Noting that the transactions made over RippleNet have doubled, the CEO said that ODL transactions in Ripple have increased by 130 percent.

“I’m proud to say it’s been Ripple’s strongest year ever. RippleNet ODL transactions account for 25% of the total dollar volume. In addition, ODL transactions increased by 130% in the third quarter of 2020.”
