Renault stops production at its Turkey factory!

All technology companies in our country and the rest of the world have started to suffer from various problems since the pandemic began. These were caused by many factors, from disruptions in the supply chain to the illness of the staff in the store. But for a long time, they had to take a break from operation due to the chip crisis. This time, Renault is stopping production at its factory in Turkey.

The decision to stop production from Renault!

Automaker Renault is implementing some sanctions, albeit late, after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Renault temporarily suspends production: it will reopen on April 25!

Renault stops production in its factories in our country. But this is a temporary situation. In fact, many brands have planned such cuts in the past year. Therefore, everything will start again on April 25 and production will continue from where it left off.

However, this problem can grow and cause interruptions of not one week but one month. In particular, two Ukrainian companies, which are one of the world’s largest neon producers and dominate almost 50 percent of the market, announced that they have decided to close indefinitely due to the Russian occupation.

Of course, many chip manufacturers such as TSMC and Samsung have announced that they are prepared for this situation and that they have stocks that can last for 2 to 3 months. But this time is coming to an end. For this reason, a new raw material-based chip crisis may begin, especially in the summer months.

This means that companies (almost all companies) trying to make up for the rest of their production may be disrupted for a long period of time. In other words, due to the raw material problems that are expected to be effective from the summer months, we may see production cuts of one month or longer, not one week, as of the second quarter of this year.

Moreover, this does not only apply to automakers. In fact, the manufacturers of many technological products that we use daily in our homes or in our personal lives, especially smart phones and computers, may not be able to launch new devices. In addition, companies that are currently going through difficult times due to the pandemic may go bankrupt and say goodbye to the business world.

Therefore, we can see that the launches of new technological products to be introduced are delayed and the companies that launch 20 different devices each year are gradually reducing this number. For this reason, this decision taken by Renault is not that big in our eyes for now. Because on April 25, the shutters will be removed again and production will continue from where it left off.
