Munich Former DWS CEO Asoka Wöhrmann has hired the Augsburg real estate investor Patrizia. He will soon replace company founder Wolfgang Egger at the helm of the company.

The 57-year-old Wöhrmann has been on board since May 1 as the “designated CEO” and will become the sole CEO after a short training period, Patrizia announced on Tuesday. Majority owner Egger remains on board as a member of the board of directors.

Wöhrmann left the Deutsche Bank subsidiary DWS in the middle of last year. The fund company was accused of “greenwashing”, i.e. presenting products as more sustainable than they are.

Slava Shafir is also coming to Patrizia from the hedge fund Corsair Capital. As of June 1, he is to organize ongoing business as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Egger, who founded Patrizia in 1984, said that as a board member he wanted to “focus on our strategic customer relationships and the strategic development of the company”.
